An integral part of my comics, Eleonora Kortsarz and I began working together back in 2004. Besides illustrating Great Power -our biggest collaboration to date, Eleonora has also illustrated ‘Golem,’ and ‘Sadness,’ which will someday see the light of day. Currently, we are collaborating on my unique take on ‘A Christmas Carol’ to be released in the future. A renowned comic book artist in her native Argentina, Eleonora is a creative force, as well as an advocate for art, and women’s rights. It’s a pleasure to share some insights into who she is, as well as some of her non-Faythstudios work.
How long have you been working with Geovanni?
Geovanni and I have been working together for sixteen years now. Some of the earlier work I did for Faythstudios has turned out to be pillars in my artistic career.
What’s your background? Where do you live?
I was born in Salta, Argentina, I lived for a few years in Buenos Aires, but eventually returned to my beloved province where I currently reside and work.
What kind of work do you do? What inspires you?
I am a freelancer. Usually, I illustrate scripts written by other storytellers, but there are some short stories that I have written and published and of which I am very proud. Most of my work is done in my studio at home. I love mixing traditional and digital work.
And how did you start making art?
I started drawing when I was very young. Comic books caught my attention from early on in life, especially superheroes.
Who are your biggest influences?
Artists such as, Ariel Olivetti, are some of my biggest influences, especially when it comes to human anatomy. As far as the technique and style of my pen and ink, that was probably influenced from reading and studying comics that used to be published here in Argentina by Columbia Editorial.
What is your most important artist tool? Is there something you can’t live without in your studio?
When I draw, I must have music.
What artwork are you the most proud of?
I very much enjoyed drawing Great Power, there was much growth while working on this story, and lots of action!

Since I was a child, I’ve always loved Superman. Afterward, I really enjoyed Green Lantern, and lately Captain Marvel.
What if your favourite graphic novel?
I love Paper Girls, Maus, and Superman: Secret Identity.
